Ms. Bowman leads a program on municipal water sustainability at Spring Point Partners, a social impact venture that is blending grantmaking, impact investing, and direct project operations to advance several social causes. She has over 30 years of conservation expertise, focused primarily on freshwater ecosystems. Previously, Margaret was a consultant promoting sustainable water solutions in the American West, including development of impact-focused private investments. She has worked for the Walton Family Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, American Rivers, and the Environmental Law Institute. She has also worked as an environmental consultant to the Czecho-Slovak government and worked as an environmental attorney in private practice. Margaret received a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
